Happy Smart Cities Of The Future

Here’s something I recently found super interesting about Smart Cities.

Smart Cities are becoming a fantastic solution for tackling various challenges and improving the quality of life for city residents.

One major issue many cities face today is the lack of inviting communal spaces where people can come together and connect. As cities have grown, natural gathering spots have been overshadowed by towering skyscrapers, bustling shopping centers, and corporate complexes. Additionally, advancements in technology such as telephones, radio, TV, and computers have changed the way people communicate and seek entertainment, reducing the need for physical gatherings.

In many communities, there is a growing worry about the decrease in places where people can come together in person.

One of the most important things about modern city living is making sure there are plenty of natural gathering spaces. These areas help people connect and engage with each other.

These Smart City spaces should not only attract individuals from diverse backgrounds but also encourage them to spend time and connect with others. To achieve this, these spaces should embody four essential characteristics:

1. There must be a compelling and attractive reason for individuals to frequent these spaces regularly.

2. Once there, visitors should discover compelling reasons to extend their stay and continue to engage with the surroundings.

3. The space should evoke a sense of safety and comfort, creating a welcoming environment for all who occupy it.

4. It should emanate an atmosphere of inclusivity and accessibility, ensuring that individuals from all walks of life feel welcome and valued.

I like to use abstract art to communicate messages about Smart Cities.

In this painting, Happy Green Cities Of The Future, I used vibrant swirls of color and form to reflect a vision of connectivity within urban life.

Bright blues, passionate reds, and lively yellows dance together, depicting energetic city centers that are safe and welcoming and harmonize well with nature.

In addition to being a happy and fun artwork to look at each day, like all the paintings in my Smart City Art Collection, it holds investment value not only because of its complexity, but also because of its socio-political meaning.

Smart City planners around the world have already begun working on making our cities happier places where we can meet, feel safe, and enjoy. I find this wonderful. Wouldn’t you agree?
