In this artwork, I used acrylics to evoke a vibrant, emotionally enriching garden. Inspired by expressionism and impressionism, I wanted to capture the spontaneous burst of life and color that flowers bring. Each stroke and hue is chosen to enliven a space, ensuring that the painting breathes a sense of joy and tranquility into any room. In this painting above, I used evidence-based design strategies and guidelines to create art that triggers the brain to create happiness (dopamine) chemicals. I am an evidence-based design (EDAC) certified artist and author of the book, 100 Days Of Happy Happy Art, Evidence-Based Design. We now have the technology to study our brains on art.
