In this painting, I explored the vitality of nature through colors and textures. Using acrylics, I aimed to evoke the blissful sensation of standing amidst a blooming meadow under a rosy dawn sky. Each stroke is infused with passion, creating a lively impressionistic and expressionistic blend that celebrates nature’s spirited palette. This piece radiates positivity and tranquility, ideal for bringing a sense of uplifting serenity into any space.
When I was young and living in Japan, an older woman I cared about ended up in the hospital. I went to visit her and brought her a bouquet of flowers. She was in a room with other patients, and after recovering and returning home, she told me that she had to explain to the other Japanese women in the room that I meant no disrespect by bringing her cut flowers. She also explained to me that plants rooted in soil meant life and cut flowers meant death. These flowers are rooted in soil.
